PICNIC CHECK LIST!

With only a few days left before the Handsome Little Fox Indoor Picnic we thought It would be nice to make a check list for you so you don't forget anything.

  • A PICNIC BASKET - An essential part of any picnic this basket Is the life line to a good night. For those who enjoy a good picnic you may wish to bake some goods before hand and fill It. To those who have work or are nursing a hangover from the night before your basket can easily be filled at the local Spar, Centra or chipper. DO NOT FORGET your wine or beer for the night and remember to bring a bottle opener.
  • A BINDLE - For those of you who want to try a more traditional approach to your night time picnic let us suggest the hobo bindle. Simply constructed by a napkin, scarf or sack tied around the end of a long stick that Is neatly transported over your shoulder. This simple sack on stick method can hold a hip flask of warming whisky, some rolling tobacco, an apple, half a sandwich and a photo of a long lost love. Easily stored behind any train car and when finished with can be discarded on any roadside for the next travelling hobo stumble upon.
  •  PICNIC MAT -This will be your own personal seating for he evening In South Studios. Invite friends to come sit beside you and share a rug, a handy number to catch spilled wine or just a pleasant place to take a nap before you take to the town later in the night. There will be artificial camp fires made In the studio but it's first come first serve who gets one.
  • HANDSOME FOX ATTIRE - Not necessarily a fancy dress night but we do encourage everyone to get into their most fantastic fox attire. Be It some brown corduroy pants and a foxy jacket or even some fox ears or a mask. A simple fox tail neck tie Is always a favourite or a white sock bandit hat. For any inspiration look no further than the Fantastic Mr Fox movie or If your heart can bare it the Animals of Farthing Wood.
  • CASH MONEY - You can buy tickets online right HERE or on the door. The tickets are €12 on the door or €10 If you say you are a LeCool reader.  To some the tickets may seem expensive, not your average 5 bucks to get In he back of Whelans. Let us explain where your money Is going.  All the money will be donated to The Bee for Battens charity which Is trying to help children with rare and wild fatal diseases like Battens Disease. The reason why this charity needs to be supported I sthat It has very little support from the Government, if any at all. We have work closely with the charity making an online advert for their cause HERE. Your donation will go towards the creation of Liams Lodge In Co. Kerry. The first of Its kind this lodge will be a place for children suffering with fatal rare diseases like Battens disease and give them a comfortable space to live In. We know the family personally who lost their daughter Saoirse to battens and who to this day are still fighting to save their little son Liam from the same faith so we can tell you your donation on the night will mean more than you know. Also think of it as a really great house party, you save by bringing your own drink instead of forking out loads of drinks at a bar, you get to listen to great music like Replete and The Kilo, eat homemade food and baked goodies and share the evening with like minded good folk. Well worth every penny.
Another reason Is its also Orlaith Ross birthday and she will be celebrating It at the picnic so that means nearly all of Dublin should be there.

We hope ye have everything checked and look forward so much to sharing your company on the night for what will be a unique and beautiful evening of good food, wine and music.
